Hello and welcome to dayas design! I hope you find crochet inspiration here and enjoy reading about my crazy life. I love interacting with people who share my passions. I am a stay at home mom, I homeschool, I was a daycare worker, I went to college for criminal justice. Now, I travel with my husband for work and watch my kids grow up.
Me and my family: My name is breanna. I enjoy being a stay at home mom. It is probably the hardest job I’ve ever had but definitely the most rewarding. I get to see every milestone, I don't miss a thing. I teach them and play with them anytime I want. I do crafts with them, go on walks, bike rides, I choose what they learn. I have been married to my husband for almost 1 year (and together for 5). His job makes it possible for me stay at home with our children which I am so thankful for but with that comes long hours and traveling which means I'm away from family and friends. That got me started crocheting again, because I didn't have much else to do away from home.
My sons are 9, 1 and I'm pregnant with #3 coming July 2017. My kids are amazing boys and are very well behaved and mannered. I had my first at 16, but the little man he is, I am so proud of him. He loves football and sports, riding his bike, playing games, chess, wrestling. My 1 year old loves the outdoors, dogs, animals, dinosaurs and trucks. He's the sweetest most gentle baby. And he is so smart! I hope to share with you things I make for them, plus real mom experiences!
How I got started: For as far back as I can remember I have been creative and loved drawing, art in pretty much every medium, and working with my hands in general. I learned to crochet when I was about 10 years old from one of my teachers at a behaviour school I attended. The first thing she taught me was a granny square, so my mom got doileys in every color that year As I got into high school, it wasn’t quite as cool and I rarely touched my hooks and yarn until after I got older and pregnant with my second son. I needed something to pass all of the extra time I suddenly had on my hands. I mostly made hats, small things I could never seem to get anything done that I started, I get bored of it very quickly. With the assistance of facebook and pinterest, I found a ton of things that sparked my interest and I began looking up videos and learning a lot of new skills and going out of my zone and trying many new things.. I dabbled in baking, painting, knitting, candle making and other crafty stuff; all things that I love, but the magic passed as quickly as it came on., I now had more time to work with my hands and I decided to begin to try and sell some of my items. My growing family can sure use the extra income and I love doing it. I get a sense of happiness when someone is enjoying something that I worked very hard on and made just for them.
This is the start of a growing business and I hope with your help, it continues to reach many more people. Crocheting is calming and relaxing. But, it is something I enjoy and I am good at it. I am lucky to have people who enjoy my work. Without people ordering things, id have a whole lot of stuff I made that never gets used.
